These wild violets were foraged while I was pregnant near one of our favorite creek spots. I was kneeling down to pick the beautiful little purple flowers and my pup, Rosebud ran by me, excited and proud and bumped me in my face with a big stick. Nine months pregnant, I cried and cried, but quickly moved on because she didn't mean to, and I was so delighted to be able to make violet medicine. Wild Violet is an amazing herbal remedy. I use it for lymphatic stimulation and blood cleansing. It's also a great respiratory remedy and great to have on hand at the change of seasons.
